The HGCS will have
Archivist, Anne Coleman as the guest speaker and her presentation will be
"Chasing Local Secrets Hidden at UAH".
Anne is trained as a reference librarian and received her Master's of
Library Studies from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) in 1998.
She started working for the UAH Library in 1999 and was assigned to
the Archives Department in 2000. The Archives Department does not go
out and purchase collections, but many collections are donated to the
Archives. It is Anne's job to organize, preserve, and protect these
collections. It is also important to be able to share the
information found in these collections.
Archives is home to some fascinating collections and Anne will be talking
to the HGCS members and their guest. The public is invited to attend
this meeting. |
